Appreciated and admired by her nominators, Roberta is recognized for exceptional patient and staff care, personalizing experiences and going above and beyond with thoughtful gestures. Hospital staff, administrators, and Lori’s leaders said Roberta demonstrates genuine compassion, empathy, and kindness to everyone who enters the gift shop, maintaining joy and positive energy daily.

Roberta builds strong relationships with patients and hospital staff members through small meaningful gestures, like following up on a patient’s recovery. She was hired for her tremendous compassion and heart, and seeks to find other team members who naturally have these qualities rather than trying to train them.

In addition to the red glass heart award statue, Roberta received prizes including a custom cup, 2 extra PTO days, $300 in badge credit, and an invitation to attend and be recognized at the 2026 Leadership Conference in Dallas.

Roberta is appreciated for her many positive attributes including being compassionate and empathetic, and genuinely caring about people’s wellbeing. She gives personalized attention, remembering little things about individuals and tailoring interactions to each person. She celebrates staff milestones and follows up on patients’ recoveries. Roberta is described as generous, giving her own personal items to help others without hesitation. She greets everyone with a smile and creates an inclusive environment, exuding joy, happiness, peace, and calm to everyone.
